CAMP STUFF

Our Summer Camp program is designed for boys & girls, aged five through thirteen. We have an activity based program, and fun alternative to daycare. The program is theme-based with weekly mini-themes and begins one week after school ends running up to the week before school begins in the fall. There are diverse themes, such as Timeline, from pre-historic times to the modern age; and our summer theme "Route 66" providing exposure to the diverse culture of the southwest. Activities included making corn husk dolls, map making, Navtive American arts, 50's music & dance, archeology and more. Field trips include swimming, bowling, zoo, parks, museums and tours supporting the theme. The theme and itinerary for Summer Camp is created by Parkdale Staff. Details, including fees and schedule, are posted. There is outstanding guidance in pottery and ceramics, music and a wide range of crafts.

There's time for boys and girls to pursue their own interests, with videos, games and development of computer skills with supervised internet access. There are crafts and activities including clay modeling, pottery, cooking, "Olympics", swimming;  and also field trips including bowling, zoo, parks, museums, diverse tours and scheduled movies.
