Eleanor Cleek, 78, passed away July 24, 2007. Born in Covington, Va., she was predeceased by her husband of 27 years, Lyndon Crawford Cleek. Eleanor is survived by two brothers, James Donald Withrow of Palm Springs, Calif., and Dennis Withrow and wife Margaret of Wilmington, Del.; four children, Michael Cleek and wife Kathy, Patrice Davis and husband Stuart, Jo Ellen Michael and husband Fay and Kerry Cleek; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. She joyfully taught at Parkdale Private School from 1968 to 2001. Her generous heart and quick wit will be missed by all. A memorial service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1600 Colonial Ave., Norfolk. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters, P.O. Box 2156, Norfolk, VA 23501. Cremation Society of Virginia, Tidewater office, will be assisting the family.
